Welcome to Body Compassion! I am so glad you are here.
In the time since the last blog post, body compassion has been growing behind the scenes of this blog. The body compassion scale has been translated into multiple languages and studies have been completed around the world, in Portugal, Korea, China, Italy, and Iran, just to name a few (the list is long and growing!). Research has explored the role of body compassion in many different facets of the experience of living in a body, including in endometriosis, postpartum, PCOS, breast cancer, binge eating, and more.
Our understanding of body compassion and how to work with it is just getting started. Here on the Body Compassion website, my goal is to continue to explore and to share the role of body compassion in the lived experience of being a human being. We will discuss how to effectively nurture body compassion in ourselves to support the living of engaged and meaningful lives, ultimately supporting a reduction in human suffering around the world.
Things are afoot here at bodycompassion.com! There are a few exciting new projects being built behind the scenes, and soon to be available to you here on the site, including a podcast, course offerings, meditations, and of course, more blog posts to support you on your journey with your body.
