#nofilter
Dare to live life unfiltered
Move beyond the deceptive safety of a sepia blurred image
Instead
softening edges
in contrast with
sharp, clear view of subject
exposed with lens wide open
What is
As it is
No filter

Poem written during a three-day retreat in Lexington, Kentucky (May 2017). Merging an interest in photography with the warrior view of mindfulness practice.

Photo taken almost one year later on my walk home from the bus stop in Seattle, Washington (April 2018).
